If you forget your Keepsafe PIN, you can recover your files as long as you have access to the verified email address linked to your account. You can trigger a PIN reset directly through the app on your mobile device.
Android Steps: Open the Keepsafe app and tap Forgot PIN in the top right corner. Keepsafe will instantly email a 4-letter access code to your registered email address. Retrieve the code, enter it into the app, and set a new PIN or pattern.
iOS Steps: Open Keepsafe, tap the 3-dot icon (or menu) in the top right corner, select Reset PIN, and choose Send code. Check your email for the 4-letter security key, type it back into the app, and choose your new passcode. Key Rules for Data and Account Recovery
Email Access Is Mandatory: If you permanently lose access to the email address tied to your account, Keepsafe cannot bypass the system to recover your files. Their strict encryption protocols prevent anyone—including their own customer support—from accessing the files without a verified email reset.
Private Cloud Backups: If you are switching to a new phone or had to reinstall the app, logging back in with your verified email will automatically sync your data, provided you previously enabled the Private Cloud backup toggle under your Keepsafe settings.
Check the Code Validity: The access codes are only valid for 24 hours. If you tap the reset button multiple times, ensure you are only typing in the absolute latest code received in your inbox.
